2020 Is a very special year, celebrating 40 years of the Great North Run the largest half marathon in the world. So this year our very own Chris Nimmo is taking part in the run to raise awareness for the Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation, a charity that raises money for sports clubs, community groups and apprenticeship opportunities. They're an amazing local charity who to this date have donated over £2 million to local causes and created more than 45 jobs for the youth of Teesside in attempts to get them off the street and into work.

We are proud to be supporting our commercial manager in his efforts to raise awareness for such a good cause, and hope that you will support as well. Chris's goal is to raise £500 for this charity and has already achieved over half of this, with over 7 months to go until the big day how much can we raise for the Teesside area? Over the past six years of the Great North Run 180 supporters have raised £70,000 for Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation and this year is set to be bigger than ever.
